Research Experience:

Dr. Borliang Chen is the department head of the Department of Civil and Disaster Prevention Engineering, National United University, Maoli County, Taiwan. Dr. Chen was born in 1961 and has double doctorate in civil engineering and in business and management. He earned his first Ph. D. in civil engineering at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, USA in 1991. He earned his second Ph. D. in business and management from the National Chao Tong University at Taiwan in 2015. He had been involved in Taiwan high speed project, a build-operate-transfer (BOT) project with project value of 15 billion US dollars. He worked as a section chief for the Provisional office of Taiwan High Speed project, an agent of Ministry of transportation and communication of Taiwan government in 1991 to 1995. He was in charged for financial analysis of Taiwan high speed project for the agent. He had plenty experience in the project management. Currently, Dr. Chen focuses his research interests on issues of project financial analysis. He has published papers on project financial analysis.
